Contractors Report Perceived Top Advantages Over Competition
While opinions may vary on installation techniques or product recommendations, contractors in the construction industry can all agree: competition can be fierce. So how do contractors set themselves apart from the competition?

Principia’s ongoing monthly survey probed on the different factors in which contractors believe they have a competitive advantage. The most apparent takeaway is more than half of respondents believe word-of-mouth/ reputation is their top advantage over competition.
Second to reputation is price. Nearly 50% of respondents feel their top advantage is offering the best price in the area followed closely by a high degree of quality workmanship. Interestingly, having a large network of subcontractors or large service area is viewed as the least impactful in terms of offering a competitive advantage.
